Cheonmachong, Gyeongju

Inspirock Rating:
4.2/5 based on 200+ reviews on the web
Cheonmachong offers a rare glimpse into a royal tomb. First excavated in 1973, the tomb is supposedly the final resting place of an unknown king of the Silla kingdom from the 5th or 6th century (exact dates undetermined as of yet). While many tombs in the area have undergone excavation, at present, the public may access just one. From outside, the tombs look like mounds of earth, but on the inside of this wood-lined tomb, you’ll discover hundreds of artifacts, many of which are replicas. Burial gifts originally surrounded the tomb, though, many were removed for preservation after excavation. Among the 11,500 artifacts uncovered in the tombs was an incredible gold crown embellished with jade beads. • The time is right for a description of the culture by diarrhea. So satisfied. As it was a time to realize that. The short time I had the feeling that going into the Silla period would have done even if I would like to say thanks. This time it's 2 sons, only the adults was hard, then you'll be sure to come back to have a look. A couple of times and can learn new things and feel a great cultural heritage.

  • 3 minutes or more standing in line, you do not have to go through. Season's standing in line for over an hour, sometimes many. As soon as we all finally comes to life from inside.

  • Korean people rather than foreign tourists staying longer in place with. The country is perhaps the wrong school study trip in progress ... As an adult, and the reason you feel the grandeur is really when you look at this place.
