Anapji Pond, Gyeongju

4.1
#1 of 20 in Parks in Gyeongsangbuk-do
Take a stroll along Anapji Pond, a man-made body of water that used to form part of a lavish, 7th-century palace compound. Abandoned after the fall of the Silla Empire in 935 CE, the pond and its structures were renovated in 1974, during which time an array of relics and artifacts were excavated. Admire the scenic vista of the pond and its ancient buildings, some rebuilt and some originals. In the exhibition hall nearby, you can view over 700 of the thousands of art pieces, religious objects, decorations, and everyday items that were found in the pond area. • From the two shagv. Beauty is indescribable. Were in the winter, in the summer what is happening-frightening to imagine:)

  • The evening went ahead before sunset is a disservice to hold a spot. In the evening, the crowd is not a prank. If you go in the summer, the mosquito is also good to bring to avoid (if you do not want to donate blood) went before sunset on the fire's advance is coming quickly, taking a photo tucked. Bike ride on the way back to the light, no one went to the scary memories

Where to stay in Gyeongju

With 6 million tourists per year, Gyeongju offers a wide range of accommodations. The area around the Bomun Lake resort has several luxury hotels catering to the needs of Korean tour groups. More moderately priced hotels lie in the downtown area, notably in Nodong-Dong and Noseo-Dong quarters. Near the train station, you can find inexpensive guesthouses (yeoinsuk), motels, and hostels. Family-oriented mid-range hotels tend to cluster just east from the lake, but the tourist-friendly city has accommodations well distributed throughout.
