Gyeongpo Beach, Gangneung

Categories: Beaches, Nature & Parks, Outdoor Activities
Inspirock Rating:
4.6/5 based on 90+ reviews on the web
The sandy shore at Gyeongpo Beach extends for 1.8 km (1.1 mi), bordered by a boardwalk, as well as many cafes and restaurants. During peak season (mid July to mid August) the beach buzzes with activity, ranking among the busiest in the country at this time of year. Any other time, you can expect a peaceful visit, and even camp on the sands farther along the beach. Swimmers may be put off by firm waves, but those who like to frolic in the water should have fun. The local delicacy of crab comes recommended. Add Gyeongpo Beach and other attractions to your Gangneung trip itinerary using our Gangneung itinerary planner.

  • Drove out to spend the day at the beach from our mountain retreat at Alpenesia. Loved the beach and searching for beach glass. Great afternoon!
  • Boardwalk along the beach without having to step on the sand with a cow got a long way to walk to the next to finish. Whenever I could sit next to swing in brush to spend time gazing at the beach.

  • But did not know happened to be Cherry Blossom Festival. Cherry tree was beautiful. It wasn't very crowded, it is recommended. I think it is better to review the position of the parking.
