Seomun Market, Daegu

4.0
See how old meets new and feel the buzz of Seomun Market, Daegu’s largest market with over 4000 shops. Although most of the shop are indoors, a selection of open-air stalls give the market a special charm. You can shop for textiles, bedding, leather, accessories, traditional Korean clothes, and decorations at the market. Taste a traditional Korean dessert--hotteok--and browse through numerous ginseng products used for beneficial purposes. The market provides storage lockers to help you manage your shopping load, and plenty of delicious street food to help you recharge. 4 Earth, black smoke on the road next to a raucous week differential had lunch. Street food during the day, too. Nevertheless, some people really were. There are also plenty of people-watching.

It is a market there are different things. Food and dining district, and is lined with stalls or fun. Not ordered is a foreigner dining variety store, most stores were in one store, store the food tradition is, you know, became more expensive rates. Rather than Korea and all rest assured, still stand before confirmation of the price and order it is necessary. Tourists many too shop zuruku is what I wish. It was a little disappointing.

It was one of the three major domestic markets during the Joseon Dynasty. Shop during the day but 4,000 more than it is. I felt a bit sad or weekday evening was a night market.

The main building has many shops for cheap stuffs and food. Some restaurants and cafe are located at the basement. There's ATM too. Night market just outside the main building starts at ard 7pm. Lots of food there. Love it!

It is local market where you can feel busy and good vibe. There are lots of delicious food and shops selling all kinds of stuff. Sad thing is that recently it had gone through a big fire. So you might be able to see charred arcade. Such a pity.

I always take my guests to the seomun market. It has everything you are looking for at a cheap price. At night there's a special night market (in the summer) especially for food!

Where to stay in Daegu

Daegu offers numerous high-quality, Western-style hotel options, clustering around the subway stations and downtown areas. With only one hostel, budget lodgings are scarce; however, even the mid-range hotels remain relatively affordable. Premium four- and five-star high-rise chains abound, offering pools and gyms, and often overlooking pleasant park greenery or the city's Kumho River. With transport links so well served, choose somewhere for its amenities and reputation, a spot of comfort to use as your city base.
