Seomun Market, Daegu

(4.1/5 based on 160+ reviews on the web)
See how old meets new and feel the buzz of Seomun Market, Daegu’s largest market with over 4000 shops. Although most of the shop are indoors, a selection of open-air stalls give the market a special charm. You can shop for textiles, bedding, leather, accessories, traditional Korean clothes, and decorations at the market. Taste a traditional Korean dessert--hotteok--and browse through numerous ginseng products used for beneficial purposes. The market provides storage lockers to help you manage your shopping load, and plenty of delicious street food to help you recharge. • All sorts of goods are sold here, from fresh produce, to herbal medicine, to clothing and accessories. There are also stalls selling cheap and delicious street food around the market.
  • One of the better markets I've been to in Korea. Visited about 2 weeks after the big fire so there was some visible damage but it was still a cool place.
  • Went to the night market, available after sundown Wide variety of street food and some live music entertainment Not super cheap, but everything I ate was delicious and the atmosphere was lively and fun Liquid nitrogen infused corn balls are a must try item!
  • Seamstresses are a little overpriced and unfriendly at times. I recommend the floors that sell fabric. There are many kinds of patterns and the prices are good.
  • The night market was great as was the food... get there early as the lines fill up quick.
