Set in the middle of Bukhangang River only 63 km (39 mi) from Seoul, Nami Island provides a popular escape from city life for many locals, especially after the filming of a famous Korean drama. Rent an electric bike to explore the supposed gravesite of a 15th-century general, or take a golf cart tour to enjoy the natural surroundings of countless chestnut, poplar, and mulberry trees. Cool off with a motorboat or waterski rental, or jump into the swimming pool. Put Nami Island into our Chuncheon vacation route planner and find out what's close by, where to stay, and where to head next.

  • You have the option to take a ferry or zip line to the island. I didn't know there was a zip line until it was to late. I would suggest the zip line if you're not afraid of heights, it looked like fun...  more »

  • Visited twice and the experience is similar. Missed the autumn leaves but would have been nice to see more of that. Can either take a short ferry ride (KRW8,000) or zip line (KRW38,000) into the island. The island is small, you can cover it on foot or get a bicycle to cycle around. There's a variety of things to do but most just take lots of photos. There's a lunchbox (Doshirak) cafe that I thought was interesting. Many shops line the Main Street and it's fun to take a short stroll.
  • Lovely place to stroll or bike around and spend to around half a day there. Need to take a 2-min ferry ride there. At the start of autumn, a lot of trees are beginning to red which makes scenarios even more prettier. P.s. Beware going too near to the ostriches!
  • Lovr the color of autumn here. You will see all colors from green to yellow to red and to dark red. Even if the crowd gets big they are very organize in queing people in and out of the island.
  • Plz plz plz visit in autumn, its super duper awesome, take the speed boat ride, enjoy tge food and activities, interect with local croud, rent a bike and ride its simply the best of all feelings.
  • Good place to visit during autumn. The maples are turning red. Suggest to visit here in the morning, otherwise, the tourists will be too many to enjoy the trip.
