A pristine enclave of natural beauty, Taejongdae sits on the southernmost point of the island, a sheer cliff face looking out to the meeting point of the East China Sea and the Sea of Japan. Walking trails lead through thick pine forests and offer access to scenic lookouts and a contemporary lighthouse on the rugged coastline. Uncover the area on foot, then take to the open ocean on a short cruise from the park's ferry terminal. Our Busan family vacation planner makes visiting Taejongdae and other Busan attractions simple, and helps you make a travel plan personal to you.

We boarded the tram at the start and first got off to see the light house. We went down to the rocks and found a few ladies selling fresh flat fish, sea squirts and sea snails. Apparently they will sa... read more »

I think it's the nicest place I've visited in Busan. You can walk the path or take the mini train (20,000 won) It's very scenic and only about 2.5km so I recommend walking especially on a nice day. The scenery once you get to the lighthouse is incredible. The park is very easy to get to by bus. If you want to take your time and really see it all I suggest allotting 2.5 hours. Overall I definitely recommend it.
Must visit place in Busan. You can spend an entire day here if you love nature activities. Wonderful pebble beach, rocky cliffs, temples, a beautiful light house, ocean view, fresh sea food, kids play area, road train ride... nice little hike... what more would you expect for family outing. Very well maintained, free entry (except for the train ride).. you could skip the train ride and walk along the well paved path (4.3 kms with mild ascends and descends) . Photographers and geologist paradise. Dont forget to pack polarizes, tripods and NDFs. I was very happy to see geological information boards in a lot of places. Pebble beach and the rocky cliffs near the light house are must visit. The cliff area was quite windy both the times i visited (Oct and Apr) and the view offered is spectacular. I would never hesitate to visit any number of times to this wonderful place.
It is a natural park of Busan with cliffs facing the sea on the southernmost tip of island of Yeongdo-gu. You can walk along the path and access to the lighthouse, cliffs and other tourist attraction points in the park. Alternatively, you can hop aboard a small train that will take you around the park and stop at designated locations.
