  • The temple is one of seven designated as an UNESCO National World Heitage site. Only two hours from Seoul. There is a wooden pagoda on the temple grounds considered the oldest and tallest in Korea. Excellent hiking trails in the area. Great for families. Children can play in the shallow river near the parking areas. Many restaurants and vendors in the area.
  • Beautiful, but just like every temple in korea you have to do a multiple kilometer hike just to see it. Nice to see but not after being forced to hike in a giant crowd.
  • Beautiful, historic temple at the base of Songnisan. The shrine in the center is massive and awe-inspiring. Truly amazing.
  • I desided hiking to Cheonwangbong but first I visited the famous temple Beobjusa which is located under the peak. By an entrance I paid 5000 won. I have to admit it's the amazing temple with a dominant Golden Maitreya Buddha Statue.
  • Amazing temple! The golden Buddha statue was awe inspiring, especially how high. The temple grounds were spacious with beautiful scenery and picturesque landscapes. Definitely worth the trip.
