Falcon Ridge Bird of Prey Centre, Winterton

This is a must visit. Take the kids along. Adults will learn a thing or two about these birds. What an awesome experience. Only 2 and half hours drive from Durban. Call to confirm if there will be a show on the day as the weather conditions are very important for the birds to put on a great show. Hosts are excellent, friendly, humorous presentations. A good family day trip to Falcon Ridge. Magnificent bird species on display.

If you like birds/nature them this place is a must visit. Interesting and informative lecture on raptors and demonstration of falconry in one of the most spectacular settings on earth. I've been back twice and loved it every time

A must see for any visitor to the central berg. They have a wide variety of raptors to view. The falcon show which is everyday at 10h30 except Mondays and Fridays is a must see. It is enlightening and extremely interesting set on the backdrop of the beautiful mountains allows you to see these birds perform in their natural environment. Just carry an umbrella as the show lasts for about 1.5 hours and it can get quite hot.

Amazing experience. Must visit when in the central drakensburg. Awesome work being done in rehabilitation and education for the public. Clean restrooms, small curio and cafe. Well maintained enclosures and grounds as well. Wishing them all the success for the future.

Great hour of witnessing birds of prey in flight and feeding, with informative and educational presentation by the handlers. If you miss the show at 10:30 you can still visit all the birds in their pens on the property. Well worth the visit.
