  • Rent a car in Windhoek and scroll through the territory of Namibia. I recommend that you go through this park. It is closed at night, the interesting thing is get there early to cross it. Go prepared with water, food, tank full etc. The landscapes are beautiful.

  • Perfect outing for a day if you visit the beach. Check the tide tables to plan accordingly. Be prepared and take along umbrellas, gazebos etc. Pack as light as possible so when the tide comes in its easier and quicker to pack up.
  • It's about 1.5 hrs from Cape Town. Gate opens at 07h00 in summer. We hot there at 07h30 and there was already a long queue to get in. If you are going to the lagoon then take a gazebo or umbrellas for shade. No shops nothing to buy there so take everything you need. The lagoon is shallow and fun to play in so take an inflatable boat or toy. Lots of fun. Nice and clean. Soft sand. Warm water.
  • Always nice to drive through with a picnic basket. The flower season is beyond beautiful. Try get there early as its a slow drive from one side of the park to the other.
  • This place is amazing! There are 24 animals listed on the brochure and we spotted 8 of them! From a dung beetle, rolling its load across the hot and dusty road, to a tortoise carefully making it's way to safety. The lagoon is picture perfect and I hope that its serene beauty remains unsullied by hordes of humans who inevitably leave their plastic waste behind. A really wonderful place to visit.
  • One of our great national parks, beautiful beaches wildlife and coastlines. The flowers are a special treat during spring. A short hop from the park will land you in langebaan.
