Bains Kloof Wellington Mountain Bike Trail starts at Welvanpas Farm.

Route Overview:

The route starts and ends at Welvanpas farm which is nestled between the beautiful Hawekwa and Groenberg mountain ranges. It is mainly single track and winds through orchard, vineyard, waterfalls and pristine fynbos.

There are three routes to choose from with different technical levels. The blue route is 15km and ideal for a beginner or a nice warm up! The white route is more technical and known for its challenging single track. This route is 29km in total. The yellow route will take you high up through the pine forest of the Hawekwa mountain range with a steep and challenging downfall. This route is 17 km in total.

Come and enjoy a good cup of coffee afterwards in the coffee shop “Die ou Meul”. They serve muffins and cakes and delicious sandwiches for the hungry!

The Welvanpas wine range can be tasted and purchased here as well as olive oil and jams.

There are various other wine farms and restaurants also in the surrounding area, including Nabygelegen, Bosman Family Vineyards, Doolhof, Dunstone, etc. Dunstone's Stone Kitchen restaurant serves a mountain biker's breakfast.
