With the reintroduction of buffalo in 2013, the park boasts the Big Five game animals for which the country has become a popular safari destination.     We went Camping in the Bontle Rest Camp 19 - 20 September 2020. The Camp in itself is clean and up to standard with animals walking freely through the camp as the camp is not fenced, this camp is in....  more »

    We stayed at the Tlopi Tent Camp (Tent no 1 Plover), amazing camp. The kitchen stands alone and is fully equipped with everything one will need, it can close and lock as there is a sliding door...  more »

    We stayed 3 nights at the Tlopi tented camp next to a dam. The view on the dam was beautiful, animals (different types of antilopes, monkeys, elephants, a secretary bird, bee-eater birds... ) came by....  more »

    National Park with the big 5. Unfenced camping site, tent style chalets and a tented camp lodge available for accommodation. Game drive in the morning and evening. Game walks usually available but may be seasonal - phone reception beforehand to confirm. You can do a self drive in a normal Sedan. Lovely scenery.

    Are short of visitors and worthy of a visit. Bush walks available (with qualified trail guides) and launch a new off-road (4×4) track imminent! Malaria free Big Five Bush experience in picturesque surroundings.

    The tented camp at Bontle Rest Camp is very clean and secure. The beds are comfortable and the staff are very friendly and willing to assist with the times for spotting animals. The roads are in good condition. We really had a fantastic time, although during the heatwave. Surprised to find air conditioning in the tent, so that was a big bonus for us. The picnic area, very clean . Thank you so much to the wonderful staff.

    I enjoyed driving around the park and the picnic area. I saw quiet a few animals because it was bit late animals where hiding looking for shadow because it was hot.

    Have seen a lot of animals. The mountain view at the top is spectacular. Reminds us of whst a beautiful country South Africa is.
