  • We found Horse About Trails while looking for things to do in Tulbagh and we are so glad we did! It was so special to see the sights while on horseback. John and Jo were extremely hospitable and made sure our ride was fun and safe. we would highly recommend visiting John and Jo’s farm.
  • It was a lovely experience. Stunning scenery and very healthy happy horses. The horses were also well paired to riders suited from absolute beginners to advanced skill level. The owners and facilitators were very friendly and gave good briefing for beginners and a nice introduction of each rider to their horse. As an extreme novice I felt comfortable and thoroughly enjoyed the outride. Will definitely be back and do recommend Horse About Trails.
  • Thank you for a wonderful experience. I was at first apprehensive about the ride, but after the intro about the nature of each person's horse and what to do I felt totally relaxed. The horse I rode (Miggi) was a real gentleman. My husband & kids thoroughly enjoyed it as well. The views, facilitators & weather was perfect :) I would definitely recommend Horse About Trails. Be warned though.... if you have kids, be ready to be asked for a horse as a Christmas or birthday gift!! These gentle giants have stolen my daughters' heart
  • My wife and I went riding here and had an excellent time! It was my first time riding, and Jo took her time to make sure I was comfortable. The location is a great time to visit. My wife went on a longer ride as well another day, and she really enjoyed that. I would highly recommend going riding here if you have the opportunity.
  • A truly fantastic experience riding well behaved horses in stunning surroundings - forest, mountain and vineyards. My kids loved it, as did I.
