  • Fell in love with Table Mountain! Make sure you go on a clear day and arrive early. We arrived for 9am via an Uber and the queue was already about 200 people deep!! However it moved quickly (well it t...  more »
  • We were lucky and have frequently seen table mountain without its tablecloth. We had good opportunities to enjoy the view from here. Is already worth a visit. But beware: some tourists had not factored well, that it can be upper-windy and very cold, which looked not very happy in their Sommerkleidchen and T-Shirts.

  • So many amazing trails that showcase the beauty of Cape Town! Trails for every fitness level, busy and quiet. An activity card is well worth purchasing if you want to take your doggo along on your adventures. Also a good idea to explore in groups to stay safe:)
  • This is such a wonderful mountain. It must be seen from near and far, and of course going up is a must when in Cape Town. The views are beautiful and the different paths are very nice to follow. Try to go when the weather is clear and take something warm because the mountain has its own weather. South African residents and citizens can go up for free on their birthday which is a fantastic idea. Table mountain is amazing.
  • Another iconic trip up in the cable car! You can walk but it is a trek. Be aware that there is no official car parking and that you may have to walk some distance to access the cable car base so allow plenty of time if you have booked an activity like the abseil from the top of the mountain. The views are great if the clouds allow so choose a clear day or the experience will be muted and you may get cold and wet in the queue to get back down to the base again. Cafe and restaurant at the top. A must do if you are in Cape Town but it can be a busy trip. Advisable to purchase cable car tickets online it saves time queuing!
  • A spectacular place to visit. Especially recommend hiking along the north cliff face. Great views of the city and the mountains beyond. Get away from the restaurant area as quickly as possible to enjoy the fynbos flora. Only annoyance was a couple with an illegal photographic drone.
  • Really great experience. Try to go early in the day if the mountain is clear. If you go around lunch time expect to wait in line for 2 hours. Buy tickets online in advance! Huge tip. Otherwise you wait forever. At the top of the mountain is cooler so bring backpacks with extra clothing. In the afternoon it gets cold up there. Great area to explore and take beautiful pictures. You can walk up the mountain to save 135Rand. But I heard it takes about 2 hours. Considering I waited in line for two hours it might have been worth doing it. You can also park at the bottom and take a taxi up the mountain. You will be glad you did later because at 4pm everyone wants to leave and you can take a taxi down and be quicker home.
