  • As a reasonably fit female in my late fifties I expected this to be challenging and it was, but only because it is quite steep in parts and not straightforward path or steps. However, if you are reaso...  more »

  • One of the most direct and quickest routes up table mountain. Its quite steep and at times a bit slippery, so I'd recommend taking good walking shoes and water on hot days. It takes me 60 minutes up, but it may take up to 90-120 if you take it slowly.
  • Start before the sun rises to beat the heat. Tough hike, but very manageable. Half way up the hike I saw a smashed bottle and fresh blood splattered on the path. TIA! Amazing views for those who make the trek, and an unmatched peace for those that make it to the top before the cable car.
  • Amazing trail. Great sights and views. Can be quite congested, but most of the people on this trail are quite friendly and considerate. Not at all a technical trail, unless going back down, but can be quite strenuous. Always take enough water to stay hydrated.
  • Hiked up this route recently and it was a truly epic experience! Took me just short of two hours to reach the summit and the views are incredible. It did get a bit chilly near the top as expected.
  • The hike up the mountain takes just over 2 hours with regular stops to rest. Make sure you go early (before 7:00 in the summer). The mountain offers no shade later in the day and the sun will scorch you while you scramble to get to the top. Take enough water, at least 1 litre per person, and a hat. If you plan on walking back down the mountain don't waste too much time at the top. You might want to start the journey back down before the sun gets too hot. The way down also takes about 2 hours if you stop often.
