  • All I can say is Brussels sprouts, artichoke and blue cheese = nailed it. Best picnic basket I’ve had in ages. Fresh bread, great wine and speedy friendly service.  more »

  • We booked a picnic pod with the gourmet picnic baskets and it was fantastic. The pod was a little chilly in the shade and the views blocked but you can walk around and appreciate the lawns and view. T...  more »

  • We spent little time in Stellenbosch but managed to make it to a few wineries for wine tastings. All were very nice and elegant with fantastic wines but there was one that just made our entire trip to South Africa special. We walked into Warwick Wine Estate and was welcomed by a gentleman named Elton. I can't explain his passion for this place, the wine and the founder. If I tried I would fail, but when you go and you should. Elton will be there with 100% purity and stories that meet the wine in the middle and draw you in like you were at a powerful performance in the arts. I rarely say this but it is people like Elton that make this world a better place. As I sit here in the airport waiting to travel home I find myself with a glass of The First Lady Cabernet Sauvignon from Warwick and thinking to myself. Learn about the wine and the story behind it as it will taste better knowing where it truly came from. Thank you Elton, thank you Warwick. We hope to see you in our travels again.
  • Lovely picnic options for R550. They also have cheese and cold meat platters. Franco the manager was amazing and so accommodating. Very child friendly and kids can play on the jungle gyms. Lovely area and open space for the kids. Baby changing room available too.
  • Had one of the most enjoyable wine tastings in a long time. The personal service was exceptional and very informative. A must visit if you are in Stellenbosch
  • Friendly staff, excellent food and great picnics! One of my favourite places to be
  • War wick proffessor black 2017 vintage which has tasting notes of blackcurrant which is typical of bordeaux white blend as well as litchi, passion fruit and citrus flavours. The sauvignon blanc gives the aromatics such as the hint of white florals like winter lillies and the semillon gives the body and structure. The finish is well balanced with a tail of oak flavours. This sauvignon blanc and semillon blend is something to try out this summer.
