The Pizzas at the thirsty scarecrow is of the best. Lots of things to buy and plenty of parking makes this a place to stop. A wide variety of shooters also makes a visit memorable. There is plenty of seating with an outside view over the mountains that makes a stop here a pleasure. The can cater for both the couple wanting some intimacy and a bigger group like a family.
Service is absolutely pathetic. Waitress were extremely rude towards our party of 7 people. What had to be a fun filled Heritage Day outing turned into a complete disaster all because of your ignorant and rude staff. No people skills at all. Fortunately we found a gem of a place, The Thirsty Oyster in Gordon's Bay.. Definite recommendation with 100% guaranteed friendly waiters and their service is excellent
Came here for lunch. Such a bright n cheerful setting next to the strawberries farm. Served by Attentive staff. We have fried chicken n waffle, pizza with roast lamb meat. Washed down with a glass of ginger square n strawberry beer. Wow, what a way to spend on Heritage Day!
What an amazing experience.... The food was awesome! I had chicken and waffles, a beef pie something (cant remember the name 😑) as well as a scarecrow pizza. For drinks I had an apple pie milkshake which I would recommend anyone should try- unless they hate apple pie. The only issue I had was with the pie as it was a bit more beef stew than pie. Reasonable prices.
Not a bad place to have a beer. With the very very very very wide variety of of beers and gins to choose from you are bound to find something that you like. However you are bound to ho through a few not so good choices. The food is great, although not exceptional for stellenbosch I have never left feeling anything but satisfied. The food is prepared excellently and is presented in the best ways possible. The prices are what you would expect. Overall satisfied with the service as the staff was friendly. Would recommend and visit again for sure.
