  • VIsited this as part of an all-day Soweto cycling tour. You need no more than thirty minutes here to see everything - though don’t think you can skip out on it!

  • Great stop to see where Mandela lived. Worth it completely. It usually is a shorter stop for 20 minutes or so.

  • One of the first heritage sights I've visited in South Africa and I must say I was thoroughly impressed. The house has been well preserved to blend just the right amount of Mandela's history as well as his legacy. Entry is cheap, you also get a free tour as well as being allowed to take an unlimited amount of pictures anywhere in the premises. The are a lot more things to be said about Mandela's house but I suggest you go out and experience it yourself
  • The place is beautiful. A lot of tourist activity. On the day we went the ATM slot was not working so we were unable to go in. One thing I disliked was a local photographer who was literally forcing people to take pictures and people have their own cameras.
  • It was nice to see where the great Nelson Mandela began his political journey. Good historical aspects. I thought the people outside the premesis have over commercialized this otherwise fabulous tourist attraction.
  • It's beautiful and well preserved. A beautiful south African treasure and lovely if you're interested in South African History
  • Very cool seeing Mandela's house in person, and our tour guide was very knowledgeable as well. It was a little small, however, and we finished the tour in 15 minutes as there was not a whole lot to see. Would actually give 4 stars, but that would be disrespectful to Nelson Mandela.
