Meet African penguins at Boulders Beach Penguin Colony, a series of sandy coves separated by granite rocks. Part of Table Mountain National Park, the beach has had an influx of visitors since 1982, when the colony of penguins was formed. Hanging out on the picturesque beach, you can observe the charming animals at close range or snap a few memorable photos. If you come on a warm day, try swimming alongside the penguins, but resist the urge to reach out and touch them--though not considered dangerous, these animals are wild and could become agitate if you invade their privacy. • Wonderful to see all the penguins up close. Beautiful views of the animals and the sea! R40 Entry per adult for South Africans. Cash or card. Definitely worth the visit. Remember to wear your sunscreen. There are quite a few steps so keep this in mind should you have mobility issues. Great family outing!
  • Beautiful penguin colony. Lovely to walk the boardwalks. Pity that the beaches are closed, but it is necessary. Most people have masks, but a few choose to ignore the rules. Be safe and keep your distance
  • Great place to get in touch with nature.
  • I am an animal and nature lover, so it was amazing to see the penguins up close in their own zone. Notes to mention, there are different prices for South African citizens, SADC citizens and foreigners. PLEASE TAKE YOUR I.D. OR DRIVERS LICENSE WITH YOU. They will not give you the S. A. Prices without it.
  • It's an expensive visit but when you see the effort and maintenance that goes into looking after the beach and penguins it is well worth it. Penguins are adorable and playful and an absolute delight. Also a spectacular beach.
