  • Fantastic well-kept park, which can be properly visited on weekends, with nice walking paths. For the more adventurous, the trail is recommended to go past the crest of the waterfall and continue over the hills and follow the round loop back to the park. Count 1-2 hours depending on hiking habits and fitness!

  • Very nice botanical garden. There is a lot of space to picnic. You can hire a cart and have someone take your picnic basket and blankets to a spot you want. Safe parking inside with security, you get a ticket upon entrance and have yo give it in again when you leave. There is a nice restaurant inside the Botanical Gardens. There is a nice waterfall and a pathway to walk up to where the waterfall starts. I will definitely visit the park again.
  • Lovely day out for the family or with a group of friends. You can take your own picnic and there are quite a few shady spots although it's still a good idea to get there relatively early to ensure you secure a shady spot. If you don't want to lug all your picnic stuff, you can hire a guy with a cart to take it for you. There is also a restaurant if you don't feel like a picnic. There is a lovely hike up to the waterfall and you only need an average level of fitness.
  • Stunning park! The botanical garden itself is very well kept and hosts a wide variety of Flora. It has well paved walking trails that take you around all its nooks and crannies. For the more adventurous, there's a ~5km hiking trail which goes around the wider property and rises and falls dramatically in elevation. This is great exercise and uncrowded.
  • Lovely place for a picnic or walk. Close enough for city folk to get away from the hustle and bustle. Friendly staff, beautiful scenery and a waterfall !! The restaurant is descent but picnicking is the way to do it, plenty of places to spend an afternoon. Multiple shaded spots to set up and enough room for putting up a gazebo. There are often vendors selling ice cream, craft drinks and art items. Eagles make the cliffs at the waterfall their home and its an incredible sight if you can see them in their natural habitat. Hiking trail is stunning. You can simply walk up the trail to the top of the waterfall then back again, or take the full route up two koppies then down again to the picnic area.
  • This place is beautiful and serene. I love the cleanliness and quietness of it. It was also a great learning experience in terms of the various species of plants. If you love bird watching, then this is perfect for you! I loved the Waterfall, it's so soothing. Great spot for meditating. My biggest worry driving there was if we would find food there, to my amusement, there's a lovely, reasonably priced restaurant and the food is good. What I loved the most was the fact that I did not need to drive out of the province to enjoy such beauty!
