A must visit go early on a must afternoon about 4pm, grab a seat enjoy superb local wine and beer and try all the fantastic food available from the locality. The T-bone steak was the best I ever had and for 120 Rand the cheapest. Go go go of you visit cape town
The most beautiful views of the vines, mountain range and sea. The market on Thursday's has great food and beer. I also went for a wine tasting(not on a Thursday) which was a little bit disappointing as the staff looked surprised and confused as to what to offer us as we were a group of 12. There were only two other small groups of people but the service was still slow. I would recommend the market on a Thursday and remember to get there early as it gets packed quickly.
We've attended the Thursday Food market and really enjoyed it. Beautiful setting with great food to choose from. Remember to get there early if you want a bench/seat but more than enough picnic place.
The view is stunning. The wine is great. The food is only just average and is over-priced. Go there for sundowners but don't spoil the experience with a meal.
We came on a Thursday market evening, what an amazing concept that is! So many food choices of great quality, great wines, in a beautiful setting to enjoy the sunset.
