  • Great place to walk and feel like you are out in the countryside. Dogs not on leashes and cyclists can be a problem on weekends.  more »

  • It's a lovely place to go and relax, walk around and be in nature within the hustle of Northern Johannesburg. There is so much space to enjoy that you can even feel like you have decent privacy while having a picnic. There are vast areas dedicated to dog walkers. Cyclists can ride mountain bikes around the perimeter for about 5km of single track. It's just a potty that the water fountains by the rose gardens are uncapt and not working. A couple of the toilets do not have toilet paper.
  • I went there for Tribute to Women concert. The line-up was incredible. Well planned event. The place is great for picnics, and jogging but one needs to watch out of dog waste. Dog walkers don't clean up after their dogs. There's also visible security and entrance is free.
  • I love how green this park has stayed even with the water issues. One can canoe, cycle, jog, stroll and even have little picnics and just chill in the gardens. I have seen events, big and small here, so they must offer something for the public to be able to host events in the gardens. It's a big big space, lovely to explore and enjoy, as a family or romantically or on your own. My favorite 'getaway'
  • Such a beautiful place that is unfortunately in great need of some looking after. Despite this the park is great and you can go there to play games, walk your dog, do some mountain biking or just sit around having a picnic. The lawns are cut mad mostly neatly kept but there are many weeds and thorns in some places. The water features are mostly drained and not functional. We did still have a wonderful day and really enjoyed playing boomerang in the large open spaces
  • This is a beautiful part of the area. There is plenty to see and tons of vast space. It's perfect for a cyclists as there as a few tracks all over for them. Joggers, couples, families and dogs are all welcome. The trees are magnificent and the species are plentiful. There is no place to buy refreshments so bring your own water and snacks and have a picnic. The park is free to enter and open from sunrise to sunset.
