Franschhoek Wine Tram reviews
We had the great privilege to attend a curated experience with Rodger as our guide. The wines were amazing and the wine farms we visited were beautiful. We were disappointed by the food at... more »
Majority of the time’s spent on this putting was actually on a bus and not the tram. When it did come to being on the tram, it travels extremely slowly and you seems to spend more time traveling than.... more »
Such a great experience. The staff (Nazli, Mandla, Sherneze...) were so friendly and helpful. They were also very knowledgeable about the different farms and gave great recommendations on what to do..... more »
Really enjoyed our day trip here. We had a lot of amazing wine. Had hummus & wine, chocolate & wine and pizza & wine tasting. Beautiful environment. They offer private pick up at your hotel, very reasonably priced.
Great way to hit up a few wineries with amazing scenery. Staff was super friendly. Would definitely do it again! Make sure you show up early before your start time to get your tickets... They are very punctual.
Really nothing special here. The tram itself is a bit of a gimmick. The entire trip on the tram is about 10 minutes and is otherwise by automobile shuttle. I would have enjoyed the tour a but more if I rented a car and drove to each winery myself. Furthermore, the guides were a bit loud and shared knowledge that I could have done without.
This is a wine train like no other. It was fun, the stops were entertaining with good wine, good food and good friends. This is a break away where you truly can forget all your troubles and just enjoy the fantastic environment, and some really good wines that our earth has to offer.
Great fun. You could always drive yourself to the farms, but that's boring. You go on a tram between some of the farms and on tram-style busses the rest of the way. Great for day out with friends. You can even (and probably should, to avoid intoxication) have lunch or meat and cheese platters at some of the farms.
