  • What a gem. Stunning bird park literally in the middle of Durban. The free flight bird show was very entertaining and the birds across the park delighted us all. Well worth a visit  more »
  • A great day trip The Bird Park offers a visit that's packed with experiences - whether it's wandering around and looking at the birds or spending time enjoying the daily show. The park has a variety of exotic and local birds on display with information on each of these at each cage that makes it informational as well as educational. There's a daily show that is highly entertaining and educational. The birds on display include an owl, eagle and more. The birds all have their own personalities and it was such a treat to see how the handlers deal with their own quirks. You can buy nectar at the gate that is fed in one of the walk-in aviaries, bringing you up close and personal to the birds. Definitely worth visiting with friends and family
  • Enjoyed a pleasant visit here this morning with my family. The show was interesting and humorous. There is a great variety of birds from ducks to Owls. You can walk through some of the enclosures which allows you to get really close to them. Bird feed is available at the entrance which is great for the kids to feed the Swans etc. There is a Cafe inside where you can purchase cool drinks, coffee, tea and light meals. The facility is clean and well managed.
  • ...truly a hidden gem. Entrance fee of R58 for adults is so worth it. So much bird life from all over the world. Free flight bird show was amazing. Lots and lots of photos opportunities...charge your batteries and take them along. You will not be disappointed.
  • As a first time visitor I was really impressed. Fantastic variety of birds, it's clean and well tended and the bird flight show was amazing. I will definitely return with my toddler granddaughter who adores talking to the parrots (she is a good mimic too) as well as feeding the swans. The show had her wide eyed with fascination.
  • We enjoy visiting the park. We mainly go to visit our pet bare eyed cockatoo Nigel, we sadly could not keep him. He seems very happy every time we go, he comes to us as soon as he sees us. Miss him allot but he is in a great place with awesome staff.
