  • It is a good example of a cave in which fossils were found, including that of the famous "Little Foot"! The tour is with a guide that provides great explanations about the location, geological formation, main events and excavations. Care!! In the end, it is necessary to lower well to go through narrow openings and it is not for anyone not. Many squats to cross and do not warn clearly at the entrance!

  • The place is beautiful! Very interesting and nice to tour! There is a lack of will on the part of the people who work there.

  • The Caves are totally worth a visit. Especially if combined with a visit to Maropeng Centre. Our guide was superb, lovely sense of humour and very knowledgeable.  more »

  • Good tour. Good stories associated with the caves too. Professional guide that was very helpful. Wouldn't say that elderly or physically challenged people should attempt as there are places where you're required to just about crawl.
  • We had a fabulous experience. The facility is world class. The information is clear and accurate. The trip down into the caves was an exhilarating experience for our kids. The boat ride was a big surprise as we did not know about it. It's such a great family outing and must be visited at least once.also I was quite far along pregnant, the cave is quite accessable.
  • Great educational experience for kids and adults alike. The guides are also very knowledgeable and have a great sense of humour. I just wish that they had better meal/lunch facilities on the premises. After the trek into and out of the caves, you are usually famished...
  • A truly wonderful experience. We had a very knowledgeable guide who took us through the caves. You need to be agile to climb through some of the tunnels and able to walk up and down stairs, but the effort is well worth it.
  • The site is well managed and educational ( history of evolution in pictures) except for the fact that because of load shedding we couldn't continue with the adventure. Light meals and drinks are served in the chilled lounge or on the waiting area tables outside.
