  • Loved the interior of this restaurant - very antique theme. On the evening we went, they had a Quiz night going on - which was fun! They also have a theatre upstairs, so you can have a drink on the fi...  more »
  • What a discovery is this bar/pub. Wonderful atmosphere, good cocktails and beers. We have eaten a cheeseburger and which was delicious. Super fun that you can order by phone. Friendly and enthusiastic staff. A dire must if you're in Cape Town

  • We popped in for a drink at 7.30pm on a Saturday evening before heading off to a party around the corner at 8pm. We were early it seems, there was just one other patron. We sat at the bar and had a co...  more »

  • Having attended a number of shows at this venue, I recommend seeing a play, grabbing a drink and deciding for yourself whether the venue is to your taste. My friends and I have consistently enjoyed the venue's entertainment offerings. The food is decent, but could be better.
  • Wonderful atmosphere. Nice collection of cocktails. Food is not great; my cheeseburger was at best mediocre - avoid. Theater is tiny / intimate and the show was top notch.
  • Awesome atmosphere, cool venue, intimate performance viewing. Food was okay but as it's always so busy, the service is not the best. They need more waiters. But I would go back in a heartbeat.
  • Alexander Bar, attending a show or play here is an intimate and rejuvenating experience. Highly recommend for sharing quality time with friends or your partner - and even to meet new people.
  • Such a wonderful quirky Pub! Lots of thought was put into making it stand out from the rest of the bars. Love the old fashioned phones where you can call the bar to place a drinks / food order. Lovely cozy feel too. One of my favourites for sure!
