  • Wonderful view from the top of the lighthouse. Steep ladder like steps, with the last ones being a simple ladder to the top. Very windy on the day we were there so I didn't venture around, but my husb...  more »
  • The Lighthouse is open to visitation, inside is a small museum that tells the history of the site. And if you want to just pay and go up the steps to the top and 81 have access including the lamp.

  • Who was once here, not get around the small climb to the lighthouse. Very nice views of the snacking Indian Ocean and the Atlantic Ocean, as well as the small town.

  • Being the southernmost point in Africa means something and the lighthouse at Cape Agulhas stands tall and announcing to the world that it oversees this very important landmark. It's a good drive along the garden route to Cape Agulhas and the town itself is well appointed to allow for a few days stop-over. The lighthouse is very well maintained and a short walk to the cape point is an experience full of gusty winds and salty sprays from the Indian Ocean and the Atlantic coz this is where they meet.
  • I was lucky enough to be here on a gorgeous day! Not a breath of wind. The museum has photos and info about lighthouses from all over. You can also climb to the top of the lighthouse. I didn't get all the way up, because I have a issue with heights, lol! But my friend went up and said that the view was amazing. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.
  • I like that this place is unspoiled, it's not a huge show, just a carved plaque on the ground to mark where the Indian ocean meets the Atlantic. Recommend going when the weather isn't too gross.
  • Beautiful and not over priced. Insiders tip: Do not underestimate the elderly lady downstairs (I unfortunately can't remember her name). She is full of local information and has the best stories about shipwrecks. Might be a bit difficult to do with younger children as it's a ladder climb to the top.
  • The most amazing view at a most amazing lagoon house! Definitely a great time to be had by all
