On the top of a natural pier stands Old Town Centre of Radovljica, one of the country's best-conserved medieval structures. The town plan was laid in the 13th century, but the most prolific period of building was the 16th century. Walk among the Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque mansions and arcaded courtyards. Meander the streets and admire the frescoes adorning many facades and small windows and portals built from green stone. See the only preserved moat in Slovenia, which has been partially narrowed and built over.
