  • This museum is only open from time to time - so need to check. The staff are helpful and knowledgeable, and one of Tartini's violins is on display.

  • The Memorial Room is a fitting tribute to Piran's most famous citizen. Modest entry fee. Closed Mondays. Open 9am to midday and open again at 6pm. Great staff member Domen Erseg was 'top', so full of....  more

  • On the Tartini square there is the house where Giuseppe Tartini was born. There is a small memorial room in the house with his violin, piano.

  • A museum dedicated to the life of the famous composer 🙂
  • It's been a while. House with memorial room for Giuseppe Tartini. Unfortunately it was closed. Unusual opening times, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. is open. Monday is closed.
  • Tartini's birthplace is an underused attraction of Piran. It is true that it stands next to Tartini Square and opposite the virtuoso monument, where almost all tourists and other visitors stop and take photos, but few of them, as well as locals who pass by on errands, turn into it. The memorial collection itself is worth a visit, and above all we should make more use of Tartini's violin, which according to the rules of the profession should not be just a museum exhibit, but should be used REGULARLY as an instrument - so play it.
  • Congratulations on the renovation of the Tartini house!
