  • Very interesting, informative and colorful. The staff was happy to answer a lot of questions (even the stupid ones). Recommend!

  • Excellent collection of molluscs with detailed and exhaustive information about them. A gentleman working there (Mr Simič) takes his time to inform visitors and answer their questions.

  • Small museum with a large and unique collection of shellfish and knowledgeable helpful staff! It was interesting to stop by for an hour or so! Eur 10 entrance for a family of four and paid in cash. Unluckily the shelf description is all in local language and you get a file with numbers for a description in English which was not always easy to following but still highly recommended!
  • Really interesting museum, lot of new facts about the shells and snakes. The numbering of the vitrines are a bit confusing. You can only pay cash.
  • Attractive little museum with thousands of shells. From different oceans. There is even a giant shell on a display weighting more than 100 kg. Information is available in different languages and in different interactive ways. Great fun for young and old! There are also some attractive souvenirs and books for sale. The personnel is always attentive and very professional.
  • Amazing!!. 5000 pieces, 20 percent of the collection. Descriptions only in Slovenian, but they provided us with an English guide. Only $4 admission. To see thesewonders of nature, it is well worth it
  • A hidden gem! A really lovely little museum, beautifully laid out and really interesting. The staff are fantastic, and really know their stuff. It's hidden away amongst the shops and cafes, but is definitely worth a visit.
