Tromostovje, Ljubljana

3.3
Stylishly marking the entrance to the Old Town, Tromostovje combines a 19th-century stone bridge sandwiched between two side bridges added in 1930s. The stone bridge linking the main square with the Old Town and the market replaced an old wooden one in 1842. Due to busy traffic, the city employed the famous Slovenian architect Joze Plecnik to reconstruct the old bridge. Instead of widening it, he built two side pedestrian bridges with stairways leading down to the riverbank. The middle bridge, which used to be crossed by cars, buses, and a tram line, is today lined with benches. Look for an inscription at the base of the bridge dedicating it to Archduke Franz Charles in 1842. • Nice idea to add to the main deck at the Center two other side decks, one for cyclists and pedestrians.

  • to access the venue (already described) it is the choice between three bridges twins, one with stairs to descent aboard River. It's worth crossing it!

  • Bad attitude- Worst place to visit despite the location Visited alone, wanted to have a drink with my friend but before came alone and wanted to check the menu. The guys at the bar were rude and absolutely not friendly, were telling me "come here" and saying some bad words in their language (cos they were showing at me and laughing). Manager came and didn't say any apology, afterwards I decided never come back, anyway there are so many places to go
  • Its a nice place with good icecream and smoothies. nice live music but can be overwhelming with noise from all the other bars and people buzz.
  • I don't get the haters. It's a touristy place in a prime location, of course it's gonna be pricey. Staff was super nice to me and my friends, even went back and forth to the bar a few times to check if they had available some brands we asked. Just sit down, chill and enjoy the front row view of the Triple Bridge.
  • HORRIBLE!!!!!!! Dont go there uuuf... They bring another dish that we have ordered and they were rude on us. :( and they not expect cards...but is not nowhere written down.
  • Bad attitude. Long wait. Bad service. High prices.

Where to stay in Ljubljana

One of Europe's smaller capitals, Ljubljana offers fairly limited sleeping options, with most of its three- and four-star hotel rooms concentrated in and around the expensive city center. Travelers on a limited budget can explore the city's hostels, which offer small rooms with access to shared restrooms and common dining areas. If you need more privacy and space, rent an apartment on the outskirts of town, or check into one of the family-run guesthouses near the city's international airport.
