Stylishly marking the entrance to the Old Town, Triple Bridge combines a 19th-century stone bridge sandwiched between two side bridges added in 1930s. The stone bridge linking the main square with the Old Town and the market replaced an old wooden one in 1842. Due to busy traffic, the city employed the famous Slovenian architect Joze Plecnik to reconstruct the old bridge. Instead of widening it, he built two side pedestrian bridges with stairways leading down to the riverbank. The middle bridge, which used to be crossed by cars, buses, and a tram line, is today lined with benches. Look for an inscription at the base of the bridge dedicating it to Archduke Franz Charles in 1842. • Granted, it is just a set of bridges, but the history is interesting and the detailing is wonderful. Plus there are the public restrooms.

  • Is the perfect spot for starting your tour at the old town of Ljubljana. Picturesque and crowded. This bridge is really nice. Just go to other bridges next to ot to have some good photos.

  • The main bridge in Ljubljana that every tourist must visit as it connects two main squares between the old and new town. It is also the widest pedestrian bridge across the river due to its name and due to its status, it is always crowded with people. Gives you a good view of the river and the different attractions, and is usually quite festive. Really enjoyed the atmosphere here.
  • World class location. These Bridges will be around for the next two thousand years, hopefully. One of the fantastic Central points.
  • "Trimostovie" is the most beautiful place in Ljubljana. Under the three white arches crosses the river Ljubljanica, which divides the city in two halves. The buildings around the canal are very beautiful. Boats and kayaks are moving along the river.
  • This is really really nice: three different bridges in the same place, especially charming at night. The picture definitely doesn't do justice to the charm of the place.
  • Well, its exactly what it says...a triple bridge. It connects the old section of the city to the new one. The angle of the 2 bridges on the side is designed to prevent a bottleneck at the center bridge. Its kinda hard to perceive the whole look up close when crossing the bridge. A better perspective is to walk further away to the side of the riverbank to get a glimpse of the bridges.
