Create an itinerary including Town Hall
With its high pediment topped with a clock tower, Town Hall stands out from other buildings lining a vast cobbled square. Climb the massive stairway to reach a triple-arched stone portico and a Venetian-style balcony. Notice a late Gothic plate with the city's coat of arms, preserved from the original building. A sculpture depicting Hercules and a lion in the vestibule was brought in from the 17th-century Hercules Fountain. The inner courtyard occasionally hosts art or history exhibits, and some oil paintings decorate the interior walls. Notice the impressionist painting of a symphony orchestra, which may well be the orchestra Gustave Mahler led when he was young. • Definitely worth popping in to admire the murals and map of the City. If you go to the second courtyard, you will see dates scratched into the walls.

  • The town hall is accordingly set in a lovely little square, with fountain and views, and is well worth a moment to come see...

  • Go inside to learn a bit more about Ljubljana. During the Christmas time there is a Christmas tree nicely decorated. Also you can go include with the excursion, that is also nicely performed.
  • Nice work of Barbara jurkovsek. I founded nothing else interesting ^^
  • Schöner Innenhof
  • Beautiful building and court yard with an art gallery. Free entrance.
  • Very pretty building that perfectly symbolizes the old town. The fountain in front and the facade are very pretty and recently restored. The inside hosts several exhibitions, some of which are free. Very nice courtyard as well.
