Town Hall, Ljubljana
(4.3/5 based on 200+ reviews on the web)
With its high pediment topped with a clock tower, Town Hall stands out from other buildings lining a vast cobbled square. Climb the massive stairway to reach a triple-arched stone portico and a Venetian-style balcony. Notice a late Gothic plate with the city's coat of arms, preserved from the original building. A sculpture depicting Hercules and a lion in the vestibule was brought in from the 17th-century Hercules Fountain. The inner courtyard occasionally hosts art or history exhibits, and some oil paintings decorate the interior walls. Notice the impressionist painting of a symphony orchestra, which may well be the orchestra Gustave Mahler led when he was young. • It is pretty and at night it is very well lit, is a few steps behind the river going to the Hill, the interior does not have any charm.

  • In the old quarter of Ljubljana. Beautiful building whose entrance is free. The courtyards are beautiful, often you can find exhibitions.

  • I walked in with my wife and I thought you said that you couldn't get past the lobby. to our surprise one of the ushers invited us to go with chance to photograph. The atmosphere is quiet and very beautiful to look up an inner courtyard with a well. The exterior looks which is also interesting for its structure at night with lighting becomes really beautiful.

  • Temporary art exhibitions and Ljubljana development. Nice building. Open late in the evening.
  • A beautiful town hall and just to the right a great little wine bar with Slovenia's best bottles. Wine is a very serious matter here, ask in the town hall.
  • Very pretty building that perfectly symbolizes the old town. The fountain in front and the facade are very pretty and recently restored. The inside hosts several exhibitions, some of which are free. Very nice courtyard as well.
  • Beautiful town hall, a good place to meet friends.
  • The Mayor's office. :-)
