  • The Museum is inside the beautiful palazzo Cekinov grad, on the edge of Tivoli Park. Stable on the second floor exhibition tells the story of Slovenia after the first world war to reach independence through rooms divided by historical periods and are fitted very well. On the first floor, we were able to visit the exhibition dedicated to Yugoslavia (until June 30, 2017) concentrated on the modernization of daily life in Socialist Yugoslavia and showcasing the phenomenon of everyday life. The exposition showcases more than 200 objects, 400 photographs and video clips, giving an insight into authentic life in Socialist Yugoslavia. A nice historical journey!

  • Nice museum to spend two hours learning the reasons that brought Slovenia to indipendence from Jugoslavia.
  • The Museum is a small but very nice, sometimes missing translations in other languages who are not Slovenian.
