  • I would not recommend it as a must visit in Ljubljana, but if you ran out of ideas- go ahead. The area with goats, sheeps is nice, the kids can pet them. The playground is also nice. But the staff at ...  more »
  • During our stay in the city, notwithstanding the winter we had the incredible opportunity to find a day almost springlike and decided to visit the famous zoo. Needless to observe that given the season we were among the few visitors but this has meant that the huge park zoo of 19.6 hectares, has been outstanding. We were able to visit many areas calmly and enjoy a relaxing atmosphere in a perfect environment. The beautiful day, silence the Sun and clear skies of azure definitely have also guaranteed peace of more than 500 animals, which are legacies photograph in all the poses for nothing intimidated or harassed. There are paths leading to different 6.5 fenced areas where animals of 119 species almost never locked up in cages, as for all has been rebuilt on their natural habitat. Right at the entrance there is an area destined to children with animals typical of farm with cows, goats, horses and even a country cottage inhabited by mice. Following the map and directions to the Park we could see typical animals living in inaccessible mountainous areas such as the Lynx, Wolf, bear, exotic ones with tigers, elephants, giraffes, camels and many others, including several pecie of birds and reptiles. The list would be very long but I will leave the task of making environment concerning perfect organization and nature of the zoo to the many photos I took and I like to attach to this memory. At times we have witnessed moments of events planned with the seals or the distribution of food to the polar bear. All in all a relaxing and informative visit thanks to the multilingual information on the characteristics of animals whose qualities are often exposed in interactive boards enhance the tactile knowledge for example of different hair/fur of some species. • we ve spent good time riding on elephants, playing with tigers, and swimming on aligators heads. good place if you like extreme fun!
  • They do not have so much animals than they have in zoos outside Slovenia, but anyway this is nice place too se world's most attractive animals. It is peaceful place just 10 minutes outside city center. So if you have time you absolutely have to visit it.
  • Small and cozy zoo, not too much not too little, also has a nice restaurant where you can eat quite cheap.
  • This is not very big zoo, but it is very nice. Definitely place for kids. Parking is a bit of a problem but they managed it perfectly across the street. Only one restoraunt in the zoo premisses and it's always full.
  • Very nice and clean ZOO. It has good restaurant and new toilets behind it. There are also 3 large playgrounds. Only keep in mind that the kids could be a little shaken in strollers since there is no asphalt. We enjoy visiting it at all times.
