  • As every year we've come to do some Bala of handicrafts and Christmas ornaments made by hand as well as fruit and fresh produce like fruit cheese. The atmosphere ètranquilla although there is always a constant coming and going of people. In piazza Vodnikov sells typically la fruta and fresh vegetables but then we visited the market hall basement which displays products from the fridge like meat and cheese. Next to the Church of St. Nicholas in Pogačarjev square is a riot of colour with flowers and Christmas wreaths handmade. There is always some new bench for a savory taste and every stall was a cue for a souvenir photo. • It is a regular local market with lots of vegetables and fruit stalls. Nice to once again by strolling. This market does on a daily basis. For the first time a kind of milking machine. One can be for a self chosen amount you bring a certain amount of milk steps in bottle. Nice! We were lucky enough to in the weekend just next to the local market the burger and beer festivals. A fun experience!

  • Nice place with beautiful arcades from most famous slovenian architect Jože Plečnik.
  • You can buy home grown vegetables here. I also recommend coming here on fridays to the event Open kitchen, where you can get takeaway food from a lot of good restaurants.
  • We were lucky enough to stumble on this on a Saturday morning during our short stay in Ljubljana. Tons of great food vendors from Japanese to Argentinian to Slovenian. They have an area with picnic tables. Also a fountain to wash your hands or fill your water bottle. If you head over towards the Dragon Bridge, there is an actual farmers market with veggies and fruit.
  • A small central market. Fresh food and other wares every Saturday
  • Lovely farmers' market, it's a local tradition to come there on Saturday morning. There's a "mlekomat", fresh milk from a vending machine. On Fridays, check out "Odprta kuhna", fancy local restaurants offering their menus to go. Or "Pivo & Burger Fest" on weekends, local beer and burgers.
