  • Let me start by saying that the guide is always the difference, we had a chance to have a guide who spoke excellent Italian and very competent. Beyond this, the Museum is housed in what was once the Castle occupied over the centuries by the directors of the mines of the city, and was therefore not a noble residence. The courtyard frescoes by already a good presentation, then entering and starting to explore the various rooms, facing the history of the mine, the city, the geology of the area, and everything that all these have created over time and the local social fabric. All nicely done up and light, both the mining that part (not very pleasant for the Slovenes) of the Italian invasion and the subsequent Communist rule. Beautiful part of the museum dedicated to the lace, with the exhibition of various laces, entire outfits that compete or have competed over the years at the festival in June and lace ... wonderfully big lace tablecloth destined wife by Titus and never given to him. See Help or movie of lace kidnaps right time and understand the complexity. A really nice visit.
