Waterfall Savica, Bohinjsko Jezero

Waterfall
Bursting from the underground of the Seven Triglav Lakes Valley and cutting deep into the gorge, Waterfall Savica is the most famous Slovenian waterfall. It cascades from a height of 78 m (256 ft) over two slopes forming the shape of the letter A. The water fills a pool artificially supported by a small dam. Cross the stone bridge over the Mala Savica and walk above the gorge through meadows and woods. A little cabin-like house at the top offers views of the waterfall and the lake. Bring a raincoat if you want to get really close to the waterfall to avoid getting drenched by the spray. • Worth the long walk up, most beautiful waterfall
  • I have been there few years ago and I was satisfied. But now - I really don't want to pay 3 € per person for an entrance to a nature. It should be paid from tourist taxes e.g. in campsites.
  • Beautifull waterfall and a very nice path to it
  • Beautiful place, important Slovenian history. 554 stairs, takes about 20 minutes.
  • The hike to the waterfall takes about 20-25 minutes and there are quite a few stairs, but it's worth it in the end. The hike is though a beautiful forest. Worth a quick visit if you are in the area.
