Hike through the alpine mountain slopes and valleys of Triglav National Park, traversed with an extensive network of well-marked, easy to follow, and properly secured trails. The area features more than 7,000 km (4,350 mi) of marked paths. You can relax by taking easy strolls through the woods and by the lakeside, or by slowly driving through lush meadows along picturesque villages. More experienced hikers can venture on longer and more demanding trails that lead up to the towering peaks. Many mountain huts and lodges along the way offer opportunities to rest and grab a bite to eat. The river rapids and gorges make the park popular with water sport enthusiasts. Triglav National Park reviews
As a nature lover, Triglav Park was on my activities list during my trip in Slovenia. The park is in the Julian Alps, therefore offers the typical beautiful alpine landscape :) There are different... more »
The mountains...the water....the forest.....all spectacular. I would highly recommend spending a day doing some sort of adventure tour when you are in Slovenia....you won't forget it. more »
Beautiful park in the Alps of Slovenia . Not the Rocky Mountains by far but still pretty with the European feel to it, unlike a stoner state like Colorado in the USA anymore. My opinion both have... more »
Absolutely stunning views, idyllic tranquil setting. We saw a bit of the park while driving through the Julian Alps. We would love to go back and enjoy more time there.
Triglav is a beautiful park where you can do a lot of outdoor activities. If you want to do a hike buy a good map. The park can use some good signs with walking distances and classification of the trails.
Probabaly one of the most beautiful places I have ever visited. Starts in the morning and take in all the surrounding as you make your way up the mountain. At some points it can get a little bit hairy but the most part this route is great for everyone if you take your time.
Absolutely amazing for (hut to hut) hiking and swimming in a freezing cold river, and seeing some birds and mammals if you're lucky! Only shame is that it's becoming more and more touristy, but we'll I'm part of that problem too.
Absolutely stunning place to visit. Everywhere you go the views take your breath away. You could come back year on year and experience a different route or trail with a different view to appreciate!
