Trencin Castle, Trencin
Categories: Castles, Historic Sites, Tourist Spots
Rising above the historical city center, Trencin Castle rests on foundations dating back to the Bronze Age. Visit the castle, built upon a rocky hill, and explore its series of stone fortifications that themselves date back to the 11th century. Admire its sturdy construction, featuring bulky defensive towers topped by pointed roofs and surrounded by thick stone walls. Inside the castle, visit the local museum, where you can gain more in-depth knowledge about the history of the castle, town, and region itself through displays featuring arms, armor, household items, paintings, and other remnants of the castle's time as a noble residence. By using our Trencin trip itinerary planner, you can arrange your visit to Trencin Castle and other attractions in Trencin.

One of the nicest and largest castles in Slovakia in an excellent shape. A must visit if you are going through the city by train
They keep eagles and other birds in a chain tied to a stick. Castle is ok, but most are new and poorly renovated. Guided tours are mandatory and only in slovak language.
Very well kept castle, worth the visit.
Majestic castle building
Doporučuji zakoupit velkou prohlídku. Určitě za to stojí.
