You have a baby, excess weight, shortness of breath, heart problem, you are older retired ... and want to show off that you have visited the mountain Chopok-? So I head out! From the top of the lead definitely nice hřebenovky, but you have to take the plunge in tourism with all the trimmings before you arrive to the top. Place prepared to "milking" of all what they get here. Bulldozers, construction activity at every step. The lift we met with one sympaťákem so with a definite arogantem that tourists from the heart. Service in the restaurant standard, food also. Children will appreciate seeing mountains without effort (if you start driving cable cars) and make selfíčko. Let take selfies rod, but you'll always have someone around who you like is shot, and then you can boast, as you are the mountaineers.

In summer, the biggest attraction is the entrance queue on. The way to the top of the defeats in three stages: a chair lift, tram and at the end of the bassinet. Unfortunately, during the peak season in the morning form a queue in the petiole, we spent about an hour. The best appear on early in the morning or in the afternoon. For those who like hiking, you can come down from the Summit. The road is not especially difficult, us 6 year old calmly advised. Blue trail back to the bottom station of the ski lift within 2 hours.

Great resort during summer as well. Must activity is to take lift to "Chopok". Just avoid twin-liner as it gets crowded, fastest way to go up from "Demenovska"side is lift from "Zahradky". From top st...  more »

  • This is my second time snowboarding on an actual mountain after learning the basics indoors last year. Had a fantastic time. Well groomed runs, lots of variety in blue runs going up to high elevation, some great reds to try out and fantastic service at bars and cafés. Quality of snow on runs was great for riding across three days, despite heavy rain and a lack of any significant snowfall for weeks. Parking was never an issue although we go there early each day. Fantastic value for money. Tldr; great place, can't wait to visit again.
  • It's okay. The cableways are very nice, chairlifts with heated seats, and well organized. For us, intermediate skiers the tracks were not the best. The blue ones are extremely crowded and full of beginners that you need to keep an eye out for and the red ones were either too steep, too bumpy or too icy. Another thing is in the 5 days we stayed there we never saw fresh tracks. So, they could work more on maintanance. Also, the marking was sometimes confusing, in the way that some tracks were hard to follow and also they were marked a bit inappropriately in my opinion. For example some blue tracks that were very narrow and with very steep turns filled with ice and bumps that were not fun at all (34abc).
  • Biggest ski resort in Slovakia, I personally prefer skiing during the week, cause weekends are crowded. Lot of hotels in the Area and also lot of stuff to do in the area. Aqua parks, ski resorts, caves, lakes..etc. Jasna can be reached from two directions South - via Podbrezova or Brezno and North - from Liptovsky Mikulas. North is more developed service vise.
  • Really nice place to spend your weekend or the whole week. I stayed in Liptovski Mikulash city, next to Chopok mountain(15km). The slopes there were superb, a slalom competition took place there, that was nice to watch. The slopes were above avarage. Second half of the day, the snow was clumped up but in general they were good. The main disatvantage were too many beginner skiers/snowboarders, but if you go to freeride zone/black tracks, you can easily avoid them and the ammount of people is less there too.
  • Slovenska topka na lyzovacku / Slovakian top ski centre recomend to visit :-)
