  • This church is the oldest in the town of Kežmarok. It was built in the 14th century in the Gothic style. Its most memorable element stands the Bell Tower. It is very impressive and something that resembles a defensive Tower. The Bell Tower of similar types are typical for this region, saw the same even in Poprad and Spišská Sobota-.

  • From the outside, the Interior of the Church is not so much but you will surely impress you. When you're in so be sure to stop in this church and enjoy the beautiful architecture. The Church also has a typical spišská Bell Tower (as well as the Majere). I recommend!

  • This white "lace" building is not difficult to find, because the high Bell Tower visible from afar:), although the Church is in the Web of small narrow streets of Kežmarok. History of this temple begins with 13 centuries! He is one of the most monumental Church buildings in Slovakia. From 1998 onwards the Church boasts the title of "minor", which opened it appropriated blessed Pope John Paul II. Next to the Church is the Bell Tower, which is called "Golden Tower". Three bells in the Bell Tower, and the oldest of them was cast in the year 1525. Interestingly, this Bell is dvadcatisantimetrovaâ crack, and when ringing it publishes only the unclean, almost "crying" sound. With an ancient Bell, is associated with many legends, here's an example: "every year in so-called" green Thursday ", i.e. on the eve of Easter, the ancient Bell flies to Rome. In 1674, one of the local students learn about this legend, decided to check its veracity and became attached to the Bell. And a miracle happened-young man hit in the eternal city. He liked it so much in Rome that he stayed there forever. A Bell hanging in its place and today ":)
