3.2/5 based on 70+ reviews on the web
Tour subterranean tunnels filled with a host of formations at Dobsinska Ice Cave, part of a World Heritage-listed series of caverns. Tucked away in a secluded part of the Western Carpathian Mountains, the cave reaches nearly 1.5 km (0.9 mi) back into the rock. Join a guided tour, the only way to access the cave, and get up-close looks at towering stalagmites, hanging stalactites, and other ice structures as you walk the tour path. By volume, the ice makes it one of the largest caves of its kind in the world. Temperatures within hover around freezing year-round and the ground is slippery, so dress accordingly and wear sensible walking shoes. Plan your visit to Dobsinska Ice Cave and a wealth of other attractions, well-known and undiscovered, using our Dobsina trip generator.

  • Box office closed 4 minutes before the start of the tour, it was only after our complaints were subsequently sold tickets. I agree that the cave is a beautiful, but for € 8, so there is not much to see (duration 30 minutes) and in addition, the overall impression I don't know who the responsible for ruining the presence of ushers who consistently cancels interpretation guide 24 search fotících visitors, which is then removed from his party gets the proper training that if not paid an additional 10 €, so take pictures will not pay him or on the spot. Really curious method to promote tourism. There are places where the happy love, in this case, however, it certainly will not.

  • A beautiful Ice Cave, well worth the effort. There is now a long walk to advance where one need to take into account. Bring warm clothing is also very strongly recommended. The tour doesn't take that long but when we had our tour fell the power through which we were silent to half an hour. No problem, but for some people it can than when cold.
