  • The place offers not only magic acoustic experience but also the building itself is a piece of art. I highly recommend to visit this wonderful place.  more »
  • When in Bratislava, plan a night out. So much to do in this former Communist country, now part of the EU. The concert in the beautiful Reduta is an experience in itself as are the low prices of concer...  more »

  • I am a season ticket holder and this ticket is the best value you can possibly buy. Superb talent and professionalism in the Philharmonic and their guests. Varied performances about twice per month. I strongly recommend. Just don't be late. I missed the first third of a performance recently as I was a few mins late and I had to wait until the first part finished before I could enter to sit in the back. I have no complaints about this practice...just letting people know to get there on time :-)
  • It's a beautiful building both from the outside and the inside. Used to be a granary, built at the time of Maria Theresa. We listened to a Sunday afternoon organ concert. Tickets could be bought on the spot, ticket office opened an hour before the performance. The concert itself was not fully to my taste but the place and ambiance were worth the small ticket price we paid.
  • The Reduta Building, nowadays the Slovak Philharmonic Orchestra, currently belongs to the most important historical cultural - social and representative buildings of the old city core. The former Theresian granary, built on the order of Maria Theresa in 1773, was rebuilt in 1913-1919 in Neo-Baroque style with elements of rococo and secession. Numerous Slovak and foreign masters participated in the decoration of the facade and interiors. In addition to elaborate stuccoes and other wall decorations, there are remarkable stained-glass windows with various compositions, or precious glass fillings with etched fine ornaments. Interestingly, Reduta belonged to the first structures of Bratislava, where modern reinforced concrete structures were applied. The Reduta premises, the predecessor of today's cultural homes, did not escape gradual commercialization and were leased to various institutions. One of them was the then Municipal Music School, which brought up important personalities of Slovak musical life. Among other things, elegant dining facilities have been established. Since 1916, one of the first Bratislava cinemas has been operating here.
  • Slovak Philharmonic Orchestra is one of the top rated places you have to go. They concerts are simply breathtaking
  • Beautiful building especialy during the Christmas periode. Unfortunate they had a private reception when i was around but hopefully tomorrow i can see more of the inside.
