It is located in the northern part of Petržalka, bordered by the Danube in the north, the Old Bridge access road in the east, a main road in the south and the Nový Most access road in the west. The park is one of the oldest municipal parks in Europe. The statue of Janko Kráľ is situated in the park. The park was established in 1774-76 with the intention of creating a park for the public. Under the influence of Baroque classicism, the walks were set up in the shape of an eight-leg star and trees were planted along them. Each allée was named after its corresponding species of tree . The park attained its present-day shape in 1839, and was revamped in the 1970s.The Petržalka Stadium, home to the FC Artmedia Bratislava football club, was located near the park, before its demolition in 2012. The Arena Theatre is also located nearby.

  • It's a huge park located almost in a city centre, but it looks a little abandoned.... Grafitti on each bench, each little space.... It could be such a beautiful place.  more »

  • Big Park, sometimes city action are there, big beautiful trees. You can rest there. Piknik place.
  • One of few good green places in Bratislava to relax. Ocasionaly there is a cultural or musical event here. Its between T-Com beach an Aupark shopping center. And thanks to SNP and Old bridge it is only few minute walk from old town.
  • large park with water fountains, trees, and lawn with the aupark Shopping center right next to it.. so you can get a decent coffee and use restrooms for free.
  • Beautiful park to go walking through. Went in April so the majority of the flowers were beginning to bloom. Only criticism I have is the amount of graffiti. Not exactly the cleanest park, but overall a good walk through.
  • Best Park in Bratislava. Nice all year around.
