  • premise: all my reviews in Bratislava shall bear a serial number because all made with 100% discount of bratislava-card from two days at €17 (January 2018); This is nr 3: the Museum is in a beautiful rococo Palace that belonged to the family Apponyl. the visit takes you out of time, you are in a noble House from the end of the 18th century, with furniture, furniture, tapestries and collections of the time. the only difference is that now there is the chandelier with electricity while candlestick was ... beautiful, worth the visit!

  • We have used a rainy day and free of charge to visit the Museum thanks to the BratislavaCard. With the audio guide gets a great guide man, can look at explains get everything in German and gets some good background information. We have enjoyed the Museum.

  • In this Museum have been reconstructed rooms of houses from the 18th century until the late nineteenth, with original furnishings. It seems to take a real journey back into the past. Is a hidden gem in a narrow street, Radničná street, old town hall on the right. The entrance is shared with the Museum of viticulture. Despite the entrance I have specified that I was only interested in the Period Room Museum, I was invited to tour the Museum also mentioned above, consisting of just one room. At the end of my visit to Perio Room Museum, I was also invited to descend into the cellar where you can taste and buy a whole range of wines (think typical Slovaks). I don't know if it was done on purpose or not, anyway I was able to get out without having to run into more wines and bottles.

Where to stay in Bratislava

Save money on a trip to the pricey town of Bratislava by booking a private room or by staying in one of the many hostels. While there are hotels here, frequent business travelers have driven prices up. Find accommodation in Stary Mesto--the city's Old Town--and experience the medieval charm of the area, such as winding streets, old churches, and a hill-top castle. Consider staying on the Danube for riverside views. Be sure to check the reviews of your lodging ahead of time; the quality of accommodations can vary.
