  • I was looking for a place to sit quietly and make me relax lying on the grass. After having trouble finding the entrance, I found myself in a forest where it is written "you enter at your own risk". I still went down the huge staircase over 200 markets and I found no grass except in the middle of the art works. It's fine if you like the forest atmosphere, but for me this shouldn't be called Park. That said if you want doing cardio is ideal with the stairs down and reassemble.

  • During my last trip to Bratislava I discovered Horsk Park as a great goal for some outdoor activities. Staying at Hotel LOFT, it made for a nice jogging route (Hotel LOFT -> Slavin -> Horsky Park -> b...  more »
  • Mountain park is an urban park located in the city district of Bratislava old town. Unlike other learn more parks, Mountain park is a specific fact that it is located virtually in the middle of the city and has an almost unspoilt environment and indigenous flora and fauna.

  • This place is a favourite place of many Bratislavans. A refreshing place for families, young couples and singles, older people and dog lovers in general. It's a pleasure to overhear an intellectual debate here and there, to see people jogging in the woods, Moms and Dads carrying their babies in ergonomical carriers or pushing strollers and watch Grandparents from all sorts of different countries lovingly looking after their grandchildren. It's a lovely place especially for the kids thanks to the forest-like playground full of toys brought in by local community and animals like rabbits, guinea pigs, goats, piglets the kids can enjoy observing and someties even feeding. There used to be a friendly pony who'd give children a ride down the path through the woods. This place is full of life, activities, workshops and much more. It's a place where you can let your body and soul and mind relax while still being in the relatively busy capital of Slovakia. :)
  • Large natural looking public park with dense nested pathways and rare huge trees. Since it looks like natural reservation it was first established in cca 19-th cen. and presserved as natural reservation until today. It is located in central part of the city Bratislava and accessible almost without carbon footprint release via electric bus (pure electrical type of public transport in city) The park is as natural reservation class IV. no fire allowed, biking is i think allowed on just gravel pathways. No off road biking. The park is home for many rare birds species, mlok (gecko alike small lizzard), uzovka snake (non toxic specie) I heared about deers, hogs but today is it more fiction to meet them. In the central part of the park is "Libresso Horaren", a small private coffee and drink place, with occassional live music. You can drive here with the car, get coffe and walk hours in the wild. The next part of the coffee house is a very quite children playground area for childrens to exhale their parents :) U can take tea or cofee to the playground area, or stay sitting inside while your child plays over. Playground area is not directly visible while still aceessible via stairs.
  • Forest in the city centre. Wonderful place to walk, relax or to do sports :)
  • veru nice place with trees, singing birds...just for relax
  • Beauty in the middle of Bratislava :)

Where to stay in Bratislava

Save money on a trip to the pricey town of Bratislava by booking a private room or by staying in one of the many hostels. While there are hotels here, frequent business travelers have driven prices up. Find accommodation in Stary Mesto--the city's Old Town--and experience the medieval charm of the area, such as winding streets, old churches, and a hill-top castle. Consider staying on the Danube for riverside views. Be sure to check the reviews of your lodging ahead of time; the quality of accommodations can vary.
