Danubiana Meulensteen Art Museum, Bratislava
(4.5/5 based on 200+ reviews on the web)
Set on a peninsula extending into the Danube River, Danubiana Meulensteen Art Museum boasts an extensive collection of modern artwork from international artists. Designed to resemble a sort of modernist Roman galley, the sleek museum features a large collection of pieces from the Netherlands because of founder Gerard Meulensteen's own Dutch heritage. You'll also find plenty of works representing Slovakia, the U.S., and other European countries. Swing by the gift shop and pick up an art-related souvenir or print of one of the museum's pieces. You can also stroll through the grounds outside to admire a series of modern art sculptures. • A beautiful place for lovers of modern art. It is a unique area surrounded by water. Of the shows I haven't been thrilled, intrigued by me each one, at least in its time. Wonderful place for venting of the head, the encouragement of mind, finding inspiration. P.s. they have delicious cakes in the café with professional staff. 110%!

  • Nice view from Gallery. Very beautiful pieces of Slovak contemporary artists. There is also a cafe. Beautiful surroundings too.
  • One of the most pleasant modern art gallery I have ever visited! The museum is an art object by itself beautiful situated along Donau. Really worth visiting!

  • It' a great place to visit, it's our first gallery of modern art, located on the river Danube damm. Great views by sunny weather, and a full art experience guaranteed ;)
  • Nice location, inside and out, clean, nice coffee shop. Interesting art. Worth a short visit and not too expensive.
  • I ahte useums and this place was a delight. Manageable size, well worth the admittance fee
  • I have been here twice, it's always impressing :) the architecture of the building is designed so that you can admire paintings and find the Danube 2 meters away from you. I totally recommend this place! They have discount for students!
