Art Gallery Art Museum
Set on a peninsula extending into the Danube River, Danubiana Meulensteen Art Museum boasts an extensive collection of modern artwork from international artists. Designed to resemble a sort of modernist Roman galley, the sleek museum features a large collection of pieces from the Netherlands because of founder Gerard Meulensteen's own Dutch heritage. You'll also find plenty of works representing Slovakia, the U.S., and other European countries. Swing by the gift shop and pick up an art-related souvenir or print of one of the museum's pieces. You can also stroll through the grounds outside to admire a series of modern art sculptures. • Great place with amazing atmosphere! Definately recomend to take the boat from Bratislava - super awesome!!! Nice cafe and souvenir shop.  more »
  • The museum is about 20 km out of Bratislava but it's well worth a visit. The building is fabulous. The cafe is a bit overpriced though so beware!  more »
  • You do not have to be art interested to enjoy this, Art that I really liked. Modern stuff with an edge. You probably finish here in around 1-2 hours since it is not much to read only to watch.  more »

  • Surprisingly delightful contemporary art museum about an hour's boat ride from downtown Bratislava. An extensive collection for a small museum. We needed about 2.75 hours to see it. Some great local artists and well curated! A great activity for a day in Bratislava!
  • Best in location , the views of the river are spectacular. I was alone for most of my visit, which was nice to have the tranquility to contemplate. But more people should come visit this beautiful space.
  • What a gem this is! Beautifully integrated into the Danube this architectural masterclass houses a great collection of mainly temporary Slovakian artists. The outside sculpture garden merges the natural beauty of the Danube with man-made artistry. A must for any visitor to Bratislava who has more than a day or so!
  • Perfect place. You can have a quiet comfortable cup of coffee in the art cafe. Modern arts are all over around the place, not only inside, but also outside with its sculptures and pictures.
  • Very nice museum located in a really nice spot (albeit a bit detached), great place to pass several hours watching some art exhibits.
