  • A fantastic trip that tells you so much about the peranakan culture. The host is very friendly and makes the whole trip so interesting. Excellent.  more »
  • A beautiful home full of antiques and stories and a charming sociable host. Not a near walk from the MRT (nearest station: Paya Lebar) so it may be better to take a cab or a bus (bus service 33).  more »

  • The first time I arrived at the house, I was told that I had to make an appointment. Silly me! I happily booked a slot to visit the museum and had an amazing time learning about the Peranakan Culture. A must-visit in Singapore!

Where to stay in Singapore

For leading chain hotels, head to the area around Orchard Road, considered the tourist center of Singapore due to its varied selection of rooms, good travel links, and tourist-focused businesses. At the eastern end of the road, you'll find more luxurious and expensive options, with hotels located in impressive colonial-era architecture. North and south of this main artery, backpacker hostels and budget hotels provide affordable rooms with basic facilities.
