  • Although it's just a bridge, it's stunning and really nicely constructed. Not really an attraction, but still a nice spot for some great shots.  more »

  • Not only is The Helix Bridge an easy way to get from Marina Centre to Marina South, it is an attraction in and of itself. The bridge offers great day and night views of the bay and is one of the most architecturally interesting pedestrian bridges that I have seen. The bridge opened on 24 April 2010, the design was inspired by the form of the curved DNA structure. At night pairs of colored letters c and g, as well as a and t on the bridge light up at night in red and green to represent cytosine, guanine, adenine and thymine, the four bases of DNA. If you visit Singapore you will inevitably find yourself on one side of this footbridge, cross it and enjoy the view!
  • A sight to behold, especially at night. Nice view of the bay and the impressive architecture around the area. A nice attraction.
  • Breathtaking views of the bay, amazing at night and a must see from an architecture and design perspective. When illuminated at night the view is awesome. A well known landmark.
  • Aesthetic and unique. Creative architecture. The whole bridge based its concept around a DNA.
  • This bridge is inspired by the DNA structure. For those interested in design or architecture, you should read up about their inspiration behind this bridge. Anyway, this is a great bridge with a nice view of the Singapore river. Probably the best way to get to Marina Bay Sands or the Floating Platform.

Where to stay in Singapore

For leading chain hotels, head to the area around Orchard Road, considered the tourist center of Singapore due to its varied selection of rooms, good travel links, and tourist-focused businesses. At the eastern end of the road, you'll find more luxurious and expensive options, with hotels located in impressive colonial-era architecture. North and south of this main artery, backpacker hostels and budget hotels provide affordable rooms with basic facilities.
