黒い象が中央にいる美しい建物です。ナショナルキッチンでランチの後、宿泊先のベイサンズまで歩きました。 more »It is a beautiful building with a black elephant in the center. After lunch in the national kitchen, we walked to the Bay Sands where we stayed.
Never knew this place exists until my friend brought me over. Went over during a weekend, but it was really quiet inside, not much visitors. The interior was gorgeous, love the lighting, shadows, decorations etc. This was the old parliament house of Singapore, so you could see the places where those important meetings were held. The chairs have all the big names' name tag embedded on it. We roam around the space by our own, saw a photography gallery on exhibition that day. I would come again to take some nice artsy photos next time hahaha. Do visit here and learn about them histories! I feel so inspired by the interior and the tranquil aura.
A well maintained building showing the splendours of the 19th century style. This is also the old Parliament building and it's interesting to use the old debating chambers for a variety of functions including weddings.
A truly stunning multi-disciplinary arts and heritage centre which now mainly focuses on literary programming! Has a rich history and an all-star colonial era architectural style! Fun facts: The Arts House was the Old Parliament's general office in which administrators coordinated papers and reports for Parliamentary sessions. Also, the building is almost 200 years old!!
Was there to support a friend's book launch at the Singapore Writer's Festival. Love that the Art House used to be the Singapore Parliament Office building - feels like we were walking in history. Ample function and event space and kept well clean.
This venue has been revamped into arts venue. Suitable for functions such as cocktails, talks, launch, wedding, art exhibitions.
